Stays
Add when you’re going
Inside the house, tap + (on a computer, Add) and choose Stays. Fill in Who’s going (usually you; a manager can also add someone else), the arrival and departure dates, the times if you know them, and the stay type. In Also going, choose who from the family is coming with you; people coming without an account are counted in Outside guests. Everyone sees it straight away, and gets an alert in the app.
The calendar
In Stays, with Calendar, each person has their own colour and stays are bars: at a glance you see who’s there and when. There’s also Calendar in the bar at the bottom, one house at a time: if you have more than one, you choose it in House. The person going can’t have two overlapping stays in the same house.
If something changes
The person going, or a manager, can edit a stay, and cancel it until it’s over. Anyone in Also going can take themselves off, with Leave this stay. When a stay is cancelled, the others get an alert by email too.
The stay report
Before you leave, from Edit in your stay, fill in the Overall condition of the house, a couple of lines of Notes and, if needed, a few Photos: that’s the stay report. The others get an alert, and whoever comes next already knows what they’ll find.
Reports
During a stay, with Report something, write down what isn’t right: “the boiler is making a strange noise”. Everyone sees it; a manager turns it into an issue to follow up, or dismisses it.
Drop-ins
If you stop by the house for just a few hours, from the Overview, in I stopped by the house, write one line and tap Save: it counts for today. It stays in the house history, but doesn’t take up the calendar.
Who lives there
Someone who lives in the house all year round doesn’t add stays there: in the calendar their presence is the baseline, and when they have a stay in another house they show up as “away”. They can add a drop-in, or go with someone in Also going.
