Privacy notice for this website and the early access list

Who we are

This website presents Back to the House. It is run by Lorenzo Fiorillo, who decides how the data described here is used. For any privacy question or request: propertyapp.privacy@gmail.com (a temporary mailbox until the service has an address on its own domain). The app has its own Terms and Privacy Notice, linked at the bottom of this page.

What happens when you visit

The website uses no cookies, no scripts, no analytics tools and no content from other websites; the typeface is hosted on the site itself. The site is served by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes your IP address and technical data about your connection in order to deliver the pages and protect the site. For the logs it makes available to us, Cloudflare acts on our behalf; for the operation and security of its own network it acts as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacy). Cloudflare keeps this data in the United States and Europe for a limited period; transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not use this data to identify you.

The early access list

If you ask for early access, the form (run by Tally) collects your email address and, only if you give them, your name, where the home is and how many people share it. We use them only to invite you to the service and to decide the order of invitations, and we write to you only about early access. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us, or through the link in any email we send you.

Tally, a Belgian company, stores the answers in the European Union on our behalf. When we invite you, we copy your email address to the app’s list of admitted people, on the servers of our provider Base44 in the United States, so that you can sign up. If you do not sign up within 60 days we remove it; if you do, it is governed from then on by the app’s Privacy Notice. When we start writing to you, we will use an email service that processes your address on our behalf; we will name it here before the first email.

How long we keep it

Your address stays on the list until we invite you. If you do not create an account within 60 days of the invitation, we delete it; in any case we delete it no later than 12 months after you signed up. If you create an account, your data is governed from then on by the app’s Privacy Notice, and we remove you from the list. You can ask us to remove you at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a machine-readable format. Write to propertyapp.privacy@gmail.com. We reply within one month at the latest.

If you are unhappy, write to us first. You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in the UK the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it), or the authority of the EU country where you live or work.

Changes

If we change this notice, we update the date at the top.
