Getting started

One person creates the house

For now, the house is created by someone admitted from the early access list, and whoever creates it becomes its first manager. They enter the name and, if they want, the address, the cover photo, the time zone and the currency. A manager can change all of it later, from Edit the house.

Then invite the family

From the house’s Overview, tap Members, then Invite: enter the email address and choose the role. Anyone who already has an account finds the invitation in My houses, under Pending invitations, and also gets an email. Anyone who doesn’t gets an email to create one, and then finds the invitation there. The invitation is valid for seven days.

Managers and members

Managers run the house: they invite and remove people, decide the parts for the expenses, and create issues, reminders and cards. Members see the house, add their stays, leave stay reports and report what isn’t right. A manager can make a member a manager; a house always has at least one manager.

Who lives there

If someone lives in the house all year round, a manager turns on Lives in this house for them. Someone who lives there doesn’t add stays in that house.

The first steps

If you create a house when you aren’t part of any house yet, you’ll find a list there, First steps, that walks you through the things to do at the start and ticks itself off. The first time you open a house, the app also shows you a short tour, which you can see again from Settings, in Support, with See the tour again.
